As the global changes in the modern society and modern threats transcend the national and other borders, the Agency is faced with new challenges and requirements, which we can respond to only through intensive international cooperation and joint efforts in ensuring national and collective security. After many years of endeavours to accede the EU and NATO, and after intensive processes of joining these multilateral organizations, important steps have been made also in the intelligence and security field, which have brought us to the beginning of the path of new challenges, outlined by the full membership in the EU and NATO.
